Blogmas 2020 Tags

The Joy Of Christmas Book Tag.

Welcome to Blogmas day 14, we’re still here… or at least I’m still here. Maybe I’m just talking to myself. Who knows!

Today we’re going to do another tag, The Joy Of Christmas Book Tag. This one I found on the BookTube Wiki (Because that’s a thing!) and it was designed by Sam at Sam’s Nonsense. Ok! Lets gooo.

The Christmas excitement is real, what book release(s) are you most anticipating?

Any Way the Wind Blows by Rainbow Rowell. I love Rainbow Rowell so much and the Simon Snow novels are just so good so I’m really looking forward to her new book.

Christmas Songs & Carols.

What book or author can you not help but sing its/their praises?

For the book I would say either Ready Player One by Ernest Cline because that book is just… *Chefs kiss* or Diary of a Bookseller by Shaun Bythell because you all know how I feel about that book.

Author I would say Darren Shan, he’s an author I discovered when I was a kid and he still sticks with me to this day.

Gingerbread Houses.

What book or series has wonderful world building?

Oooh, this is a hard one. I may not like the book but I would say 1984 by George Orwell. Orwell does such a good job at making you feel like you’re there.

A Christmas Carol.

Favorite classic or one that you want to read.

I’ve been trying to get into a lot more classics lately so this is a good question. One of my favourites I’ve read is To Kill a Mockingbird, I love that book. But then is IT a classic? Because if so, definitely IT by Stephen King. A classic I want to read would be The Woman in Black by Susan Hill, I love horror so this is perfect for me and it’s been recommended a couple of times to me.

Christmas Sweets.

What book would you love to receive for Christmas?

So I’ve asked for Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline and Seven Kinds of People You Find in Bookshops by Shaun Bythell, both books I’m super excited about!

Candles in the Window.

What book gives you that warm fuzzy feeling?

A Year at the Chateau by Dick Strawbridge, Angel Strawbridge. I love this TV show so much and when I found out they were writing a book it was exciting times!! I even managed to get a signed copy. It’s such a good book, you can’t help but feel all warm and happy.

Christmas Trees & Decorations.

What are some of your favorite book covers?

So this is funny because I adore book covers, I think they really can be works of art. Dear NHS: 100 Stories to Say Thank You edited Adam Kay is definitely something beautiful, the art is done by Banksy and it’s just beautiful. Also the Ready Player One cover is just beautiful, the one with the stacks of camper vans. Yesssss.

Christmas Joy.

What are some of your favorite things about Christmas And/Or some of your favorite Christmas memories?

So here’s a hot take!!! I don’t actually like Christmas very much, I just struggle with it for personal reasons. But I would say giving is probably my favorite part as well as the food, I love Christmas food.

All the books I’ve mentioned can be found on this Bookshop list.
